These are only a few of the unbelievable events to happen in Atiya's life, which began as she was raised by a single mother with her siblings and became a teen mother soon after. Even with young children at home, Atiya didn't let her dreams of becoming a veterinarian go to waste and pursued a career as a nurse. Atiya also describes her diagnosis of kidney disease, loss of her first son Hakeem and navigating the married life. In all, what brought comfort in grief was writing out the story God gave her.
