His position, as is the position of Jews throughout Germany, is under attack. Cohen enjoys telling stories. The tales are taken from the Talmud and Jewish folklore. They have great meaning to him, and he delights in telling them. The stories often seem more real to him than the events of the world that unfold around him. The stories echo in the outside world in odd ways. And events from the outside world reverberate in the stories... "A Man Who Tells Stories" deals with issues of faith, faithfulness, and faithlessness. It deals with kindness, caring, and compassion. As time marches on, the persecution of Jews in Germany escalates. It is obvious that war is coming. The very existence of Jews in Germany is threatened. From what quarter will help and assistance for Cohen and his family arrive?
