Ava Reid nació en Manhattan y se crio al otro lado del río Hudson, en Hoboken, Nueva Jersey, pero actualmente vive en Palo Alto, California. Tiene una licenciatura en Ciencias Políticas por el Barnard College, centrada en la religión y el etnonacionalismo.
