Lord Clive won the battle and the british empire was founded permanently in India. Lord Clive was made first Governor General of India over this victory. Many scholars are of the view that majority of British Army was made up of Dusadhs. But this valliant and martial caste was thrown in to the bottom row of social order and is presently considered as Scheduled Castes or Dalits in Indian society although they really belong to higher hindu
