F. C. Yee es un escritor estadounidense conocido principalmente por sus novelas de fantasía y aventuras. Creció en Nueva Jersey y asistió a la escuela en Nueva Inglaterra. Actualmente vive y trabaja en Boulder, Colorado. Además de dedicarse a la escritura, practica capoeira, un arte marcial brasileño, y trabaja profesionalmente en un área relacionada con hojas de cálculo.

Su primera novela, The Epic Crush of Genie Lo, fue publicada en 2017 y recibió una buena acogida por parte de la crítica. Posteriormente, alcanzó mayor reconocimiento gracias a la serie Chronicles of the Avatar, ambientada en el universo de Avatar: The Last Airbender.
