It will then view the aftermath of the conflict and its effect on the United States.Why was Eastern Kansas a battleground? There was really only one issue: should Kansas enter the Union slave or free? The populace wanted it to be free, but pro-slavery forces had other ideas.The book contains 59 illustrations.
