Mary Oliver (1935-2019) fue una destacada poeta estadounidense, nacida en Maple Heights, Ohio. Su obra se caracteriza por una profunda conexión con la naturaleza y una reflexión sobre la experiencia humana. A lo largo de su carrera, recibió numerosos reconocimientos, incluyendo el Premio Pulitzer de Poesía en 1984 por su colección "American Primitive" y el National Book Award en 1992 por "New and Selected Poems".
