On each one, a snapshot photograph depicting the victim shortly after their death. On the back of each photo, a number handwritten by the killer. On the 29-year-old mother, the number 108; on her 4-year-old daughter, 109; and on her 5-month-old son, 110!

Scattered around them on the floor are 28 photographs of people who lost their lives over the past four years in various parts of the country. All numbered in no apparent logical order. Jumbled, just like the German Federal Police, as almost all of these murders have been recorded as accidents, serving as the chilling calling card of a ruthless killer!

A race against time, a betrayal, and a chance, terrifying revelation form the framework within which the Chief Inspector is called upon to prevent a massacre of victims.
