A cookbook of delicious recipes for every day as well as a comprehensive guide to food preservation and using your long-term food storage. This cookbook is designed for anyone who wants to be able to cook nutritious and delicious meals from food stored in their pantry. It's not meant to be used solely for an emergency situation; these are recipes to use every day. The recipes in this cookbook are presented in two ways. On the left side of the page, the recipe is designed to be used with fresh ingredients that you have on hand. The right side of the recipe page has the adaptation to use canned, dried, and freeze-dried foods from your long-term and short-term storage. Included in this collection of my favorite recipes is a basic guide to building a long-term food supply, a sample menu, and ways to make many common foods from scratch. Items such as yeast, pectin, extracts, and cider vinegar are easily made using the included instructions. Also included are instructions for naturally dry foods, a basic canning guide, and a list of common ingredient substitutions. The idea behind this book is that if I could grab only one cookbook or resource from my many cookbooks and recipes, this would be it! It contains proven recipes that my family loves and uses food from my long-term storage pantry. It is my go-to recipe book. It's the only book I need in a disaster or emergency situation. I tried to make this book as complete as possible, and I hope each and everyone gets as much use out of it as I do.
