Contents include: "The Book of the Dead", "Description of the Papyri", "Introductory Hymns", "Papyrus of Ani", "Papyrus of Qenna", "Papyrus of Hunefer", "Papyrus of Ani", "Papyrus of Nekht", "Scene of the Weighing of the Heart, "Names of the Gods of the Great Company", etc. Sir Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge (1857 - 1934) was an English Orientalist, Egyptologist, and philologist. He worked for the British Museum and published numerous works on the ancient 'Near East'. This volume will appeal to those with an interest in Ancient Egypt and death in Egyptian culture.
