It has been said that the world is always new to those who can see themselves in a new light. This creative and varied collection of poetry takes us along on a journey of introspection and self-discovery. William Wordsworth once described poetry as the spontaneous outflow of powerful emotion recollected in times of tranquility. This collection is surely a testament to that notion. Most importantly, however, this poetry is genuine. It is a cri de coeur in its passionate honesty to embrace that which is most difficult. It is a celebration of the view from above after having mastered a difficult struggle. It is a retrospective look at life and all that it has to offer. And ultimately, we find here, in the end, an acceptance of that life despite all its many flaws and imperfections. There is much enjoyment to be had here in reading and rereading this excellent collection of poems.
