Nathan Thrall nació en California, Estados Unidos, en 1978, y actualmente reside en Jerusalén. Es uno de los analistas, escritores y periodistas más influyentes en el estudio del conflicto israelí-palestino, reconocido por su mirada crítica y su capacidad para desafiar las narrativas convencionales sobre la región. Thrall estudió en la Universidad de California, Santa Barbara, y obtuvo un máster en política en la Universidad de Columbia. Ha sido profesor en Bard College y colaborador habitual de medios internacionales como The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, London Review of Books y The New York Review of Books.

Thrall trabajó durante una década en el International Crisis Group, donde fue director del Arab-Israeli Project, cubriendo Israel, Cisjordania, Gaza y las relaciones regionales.
