Understanding human performance and potential ergonomic challenges when using such devices is crucial for optimizing their design and functionality. To address these concerns, a Special Issue on Advances in Human-Machine Systems, Human-Machine Interfaces, and Human Wearable Device Performance was curated, compiling ten rigorously reviewed research articles published over a three-and-a-quarter-year period. These studies focus on human-machine interfaces, wearable device performance, and user interaction dynamics, providing critical insights into how humans adapt to and utilize these advanced systems.
