Alphie, the former jazz singing cat, is simply minding his own business one day when his world changes forever. Working on a farm to get rid of rodents, Alphie finds out that Farmer Joe plans to take the Border Collie, Fred, back to the breeder's due to a bad leg. Alphie and his best friend, Sophia, a tiny yellow butterfly, consult Magic Branches located deep in the woods. The old majestic and magic tree advises them to all leave the farm and that they will find their new purposes in life as a group. After escaping in the middle of the night, they meet up with an overworked donkey named Buford who joins them on their adventure, just as Magic Branches had told them. But what happens when Farmer Joe catches up to them and tries to take Fred back to the farm? Will they escape or will they go back to their old lives? One thing's for sure...none of the four want to go back and they are determined to make it on their own.
