Robin Hobb es el seudónimo de la escritora estadounidense Margaret Astrid Lindholm Ogden, conocida por sus obras de fantasía épica. Nació en 1952 y se ha destacado como una de las autoras más influyentes en el género. Su estilo se caracteriza por complejas tramas emocionales, personajes profundamente desarrollados y mundos ricos en detalle. A lo largo de su carrera, ha publicado varios series que han cautivado a millones de lectores, como "La trilogía del asesino" y "Los mercaderes de los reinos".
