Andrzej Sapkowski (1948) es un escritor polaco de fantasía heroica, reconocido mundialmente por su saga del brujo Geralt de Rivia. Sus obras están profundamente influenciadas por la cultura y mitología eslavas, así como por las narraciones tradicionales. La saga de Geralt, compuesta por siete volúmenes, incluye títulos emblemáticos como La espada del destino y La sangre de los elfos.
