Kentaro Miura fue un destacado mangaka japonés, nacido el 11 de julio de 1966 en Chiba, Japón. Desde temprana edad, mostró un excepcional talento para el dibujo y la narrativa, lo que lo impulsó a incursionar en el mundo del manga durante su adolescencia. Su pasión por la fantasía oscura y el terror se manifestó con fuerza en sus obras, marcando un hito en la industria.

Entre sus trabajos más reconocidos se encuentra Berserk (1989), que consolidó su legado y le valió el Premio Cultural Tezuka Osamu en 2002. Esta serie, aclamada mundialmente por su narrativa compleja y estética única, sigue siendo una referencia imprescindible en el género del manga oscuro.
