Reseña del libro "Camp Half-Blood: From the World of Percy Jackson: The Rite of Aphrodite (en Inglés)"
What would happen if the goddess Aphrodite were put in charge of Camp Half-Blood? Would romances bloom while little Cupids flew around? Or would petty jealousies break out? Harper Rush, a newbie to camp, is about to find out what it’s like to have Mom pay a visit. He’d like to have a few words with her anyway . . .
AN ANCIENT CURSE. A DEADLY TRAP. A MONSTROUS SECRET. AND A FIGHT TO SURVIVE . . .
Harper Rush loves to run—to feel the wind blowing his perfectly tousled hair and the sun warming his already shining face. Running helps him block out the feeling he always carries, of being in a dark and cramped space. As a child of Aphrodite, he should be leading a charmed life. That was the case before his father was sent away and Harper moved in with grandparents. Being at Camp Half-Blood has given Harper a chance to start fresh.
But camp is not without its problems. His first night, Harper was out past curfew and then punished with two weeks of kitchen duty. The three other newbies caught with him are turning into friends, but each of them seems to be hiding a secret of their own. Then there are the camper and satyr who just went missing. Could they be lost in the forbidden Wild Zone?
Before Harper and his friends can find out, the new camp director arrives—none other than the goddess Aphrodite. Will Harper’s mom finally acknowledge his existence? Will she give him a blessing? Or will her particular brand of love be more like a curse? Running isn’t going to help him escape this time. . . .
