Reseña del libro "Cold River Cabin (en Inglés)"
Cold River CabinEthan Mercer came to the Maine wilderness to disappear. Then a scream in the darkness changed everything. After years of war, Lieutenant Colonel Ethan Mercer wants nothing more from the world. He buys 117 isolated acres in the mountains of western Maine, pitches a canvas wall tent beside a cold river, and begins building the kind of life he understands—quiet, deliberate, and far away from everyone. Out there, the rules are simple. Find shelter. Keep the fire burning. Pay attention. Survive. Then, late one night, a terrified woman comes crashing through the woods.Claire is running from a stranger who has followed her through the wilderness. When she attempts to cross the swollen river, she falls, strikes her head, and is swept into the current. Ethan reacts without hesitation, dragging her from the freezing water and bringing her back to the isolated camp he never intended to share with anyone.Saving Claire should have been the end of it.Instead, it becomes the beginning. As danger follows them out of the woods, Claire begins to discover that the quiet man living beside the river is far more than he appears. And Ethan discovers something even more unsettling: after years spent keeping the world at a distance, he may finally have found someone worth letting in.But Ethan’s past isn’t finished with him. Neither is the world he tried to leave behind. When another life hangs in the balance, the instincts that made him a soldier resurface—and the secrets he has buried begin coming with them. His courage may save others, but learning how to live again could prove to be the harder fight.Set against the rivers, mountains, logging roads, and deep forests of Maine, Cold River Cabin is a story of survival, suspense, friendship, healing, and the unexpected possibility of finding home when you thought you were done looking for it.Sometimes the only way back to life is to leave everything behind.Cold River Cabin is Book One of the Cold River Series.
