Reseña del libro "Dead Air (en Inglés)"
Two thousand people watched him die. Every one of them heard his last words. His microphone recorded nothing at all.Gil Rafferty is Britain's most famous true-crime podcaster. His series on Lucy Maclean, a Glasgow student who vanished in 2011, made him a star and sent her boyfriend to prison for murder. Now, at a sold-out live show during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the lights go out for his famous Dark Minute. In the blackness, two thousand people hear him say:"Lucy Maclean is alive. And she is in this room tonight."When the lights come up, Gil is slumped over his desk. A first-aider fights to save him in front of the whole hall. He dies before midnight. The master recording from his own microphone holds eleven seconds of silence where that line should be.DS Farah Qureshi was outside the venue waiting to collect her brother, who swears the voice came from somewhere it shouldn't have. Now she has a poisoned throat spray, eight people who could have touched it, a buried tip that could overturn a murder conviction, and a hall full of witnesses who are certain of what they saw.Two thousand people were watching. None of them saw a thing.Perfect for readers who love:Impossible-crime mysteries with a fair, clever solutionTwists that make you reread every earlier chapterTrue-crime podcasts, and the damage a good story can doAtmospheric Edinburgh settings and a detective who learns to listenDead Air is the second Farah Qureshi mystery and can be read as a standalone.
