Dr. Raymond W. Barber was born into a Baptist pastor's family on August 12, 1932, and trusted Christ as his Saviour when he was eleven years of age. In 1950, he enrolled in the Bible Baptist Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, to prepare for fulltime ministry. Dr. Barber has been in the gospel ministry for more than sixty-four years. His pastoral ministry spanned thirty-five years as pastor of Worth Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, his ministry of teaching in Bible colleges has exceeded thirty-five years as professor of the Life of Christ and the Major and Minor Prophets courses. He has authored twenty-three books and several booklets. Since 1997, he has traveled extensively across America and several foreign countries proclaiming the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Dr. Barber's powerful style of delivery has utilized hundreds of quips, quotes, notes, and anecdotes that have energized his messages. Many preachers and other Christian workers have often asked him if these useful items can be found in a book. These questions have encouraged Dr. Barber to compile a categorical arrangement that can be utilized by Christians in preparing messages, speeches, and lessons.
