After the loss of their husbands in the devastating Los Angeles earthquake, Janine Rosario and Fleur Peterson begin to rebuild their lives. Each deals with loss in her own way: Janine, the music matriarch, by rebuilding Westoria Records, and Fleur, raising her newly born son, RD. But illness blights Janine's life and, finding she's too old for treatment in the States, she turns to the Dark Web.
