Reseña del libro "I'm 9 Years Old and I'm Amazing in My Own Way: Inspiring stories filled with friendship, challenges, and small but meaningful lessons about ... good choices (Small Achievements, Big Dreams) (en Inglés)"

At nine years old, questions start to come up that aren’t always easy to answer. How can you tell if a friend is doing the right thing? What do you do when saying no feels difficult? How should you react to a rumor? Is it okay to share someone else’s photo? And what happens when we want to fit in so badly that we stop listening to what we really think? I’m 9 Years Old and I’m Amazing in My Own Way is a story created to help girls navigate the small but important situations that are beginning to become part of their everyday lives. Through the adventures of Luna, Mia, and Zoe, readers enter a school filled with new friendships, mistakes, secrets, rumors, decisions, and the mysterious Owl Club. Luna has just arrived at a new school and wants nothing more than to stop being “the new girl.” But as she tries to find her place, she discovers something important: belonging doesn’t mean becoming the person everyone else expects you to be. What will she find inside the book? A continuous story told across 17 chapters, filled with friendship, humor, small mysteries, and situations girls her age can easily relate to. Throughout the adventure, the story naturally explores topics such as: friendship, empathy, and jealousy; self-confidence; expressing your thoughts and learning to say “no”; setting boundaries and respecting other people’s boundaries; recognizing mistakes and learning how to make things right; telling the difference between a rumor and verified information; asking permission before sharing photos of someone else; protecting passwords and personal privacy; thinking before acting and making responsible choices. But the story doesn’t end when each chapter does. After every chapter comes an Owl Challenge: a new situation that invites the reader to ask herself: “What would I do?” The goal isn’t to memorize the “right” answer. It’s to observe, think, consider different perspectives, and make a thoughtful decision. With every challenge she completes, the reader moves forward in her own Secret Skills Passport, collecting 17 stamps on her journey toward becoming an Owl Guardian. A story that can also spark meaningful family conversations Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other trusted adults can use the adventures of Luna, Mia, and Zoe as a natural way to talk about situations a girl might encounter at school, with friends, or online. No lectures. No turning reading into a lesson. Just a story about friendship, mistakes, choices, small mysteries, and everything that comes with starting to grow up. Because by the end of her journey, Luna discovers something every girl may need to remember from time to time: Finding your place doesn’t mean becoming the person others expect you to be. It means learning to think for yourself, speak up, make mistakes, change your mind, and still know that you belong.
