In this context, blockchain stands out as a technology that does not require an intermediary institution. The general objective of the study is to investigate new ways of transacting electricity through Smart Grids and, as specific objects, to verify the current energy trading models; review the literature on microgrids and distributed generation; review the literature on Smart Grids; deepen the study of blockchain technology; deepen the study of the point-to-point (P2P) model for energy trading; present aspects of the P2P energy transaction, being positive and/or negative.
