Alan Alexander Milne, conocido como A. A. Milne, fue un escritor británico nacido en 1882, célebre por crear el universo de Winnie-the-Pooh. Antes de alcanzar fama mundial en la literatura infantil, desarrolló una sólida carrera como dramaturgo y colaborador de la revista Punch, destacándose por su ingenio y sentido del humor. Sin embargo, fue la publicación de las historias del entrañable oso Pooh, inspiradas en su hijo Christopher Robin, la que lo convirtió en un autor imprescindible dentro de la narrativa para niños.
