This book, The Hero’s Journey The Shepherd King, is one of the first books I wrote many years ago. It is one of my favorite stories, which evolved from my exploration of male spirituality, the four male archetypes – the warrior, magician, king, and lover – and the hero’s journey. It is based on the teachings of Father Richard Rohr, ofm, renowned in the area of male spirituality, generally and specifically, as all good stories are based on my own humble experience This book is a simple story about the adventures of a boy who becomes a man via the hero’s journey. Having slept through an incredible opportunity, the shepherd boy goes on a quest to find the King en- countering on his journey a warrior, a magician, a king, and a lover. This excitingly heartfelt story, filled with Gospel allusions, is about all that he discovers on his journey. This book is an updated version of a book I published a while back entitled The Shepherd King The Hero's Journey.
