It should be unimaginable that an adult male would have any attraction or sexual desire for an undeveloped child. Yet this happened in my life, not once, but repeatedly. I was silent on this issue for years. Who do you tell when the persons who are supposed to represent safety, love, and nurturing are the people doing the harm? In my eyes, most adults were not safe or trustworthy. My book will give you a glimpse of what physical and sexual abuse looks like through the eyes of a child.One of the benefits of experiencing God's healing grace is understanding that my story is not for me. I am the woman that I am today by the grace of God alone. This is the story of my journey through foster care within Saginaw County. I entered care at the age five and aged out of care at the age of eighteen.This is the first volume of my story of experiencing redemption and healing in the wake of trauma in my childhood and young adulthood. I am sharing my story in the hopes that someone else will be inspired to report active or past abuse of any kind, find themselves again, befriend themselves, seek healing through therapeutic resources, and lead a fulfilled life with the help of Christ.
