The Missing Posters Show My Daughter’s Face (en Inglés) - D.M. Vale

Ruth Mercer finds her nine-year-old daughter’s face on a missing poster outside the pharmacy.

Nell is safe at a science workshop across town. The poster says she disappeared in 1991-twenty-six years before she was born.

Ruth reports it to the police, but the posters keep appearing. A woman carrying a stack of them has been asking about Nell at school. In the county archives, photographs and names begin changing on records nobody has touched.

Then Nell vanishes. Her toys disappear. Her bedroom becomes a sewing room. Even her father can’t remember her.

Ruth can.

Following the few traces left behind, she uncovers other missing children, families who were persuaded to stop looking, and an old flood report that says a school bus was empty.

Somewhere, Nell is waiting for her. But bringing her home means finding out what happened to the children Greywick insists were never there.
