Reseña del libro "The Reviewer: Someone Has Read This Before (1) (en Inglés)"
Three crime writers are dead. Each received the same one-star review first. This morning, it arrived for her.★☆☆☆☆I've read this before. The ending was predictable.Maya Lennox knows the sentence quoted beneath the review. She wrote it two weeks ago, in a chapter of her unfinished novel that almost no one has seen.In fourteen months, three Scottish crime novelists have died in apparent accidents, each one mirroring a scene from their own books. A fall from Salisbury Crags. A drowning in a hotel bath. A cottage filled with silent poison. Each death came exactly forty-two days after the same anonymous review. Now the clock has started for Maya. The police see a novelist with an overactive imagination. A true-crime podcaster sees a story. And as Maya digs into who could have read her draft, she finds her husband's secrets, her agent's lies, and a forgotten manuscript that should never have been read.Only one person stands firmly by her side: her brilliant, warm and fiercely loyal editor. But with every day that passes, Maya begins to understand that the question was never who read her book. It was who wrote it first.Perfect for readers who love:Clever, fair-play mysteries with a twist you won't see comingLiterary thrillers set in the world of books and writersAtmospheric Edinburgh settings and a ticking countdownPsychological suspense about guilt, memory and the stories we tell ourselvesThe Reviewer is a standalone mystery, and the first Farah Qureshi case.
