Memories that are not written down are destined to be lost. Our story reminds us of who we are-or at least who we want to be! Special moments-some not-so-good moments, always seeking to walk through God's open doors. We celebrate His goodness and guidance. Perhaps no more than a passing comment from a university student, but Lois's words were life-confirming for us. During a late afternoon snack break, a graduate student shared a one-word description of our ministry journey. "You have lived your life in ministry unhesitatingly." Her word, not ours-until that moment. Her word became our word. We found renewed courage to follow our hearts. We resigned from the university to walk through God's open door into Latin American mission work. Our journey begins with "stories before the story" - our memories of growing up in Kansas and meeting at Oklahoma Christian College.
