English summary: Contingency confounds reason. If reason tries to reduce contingency, it will come up against its limitations. God on the other hand is more familiar with contingency, since contingency originates with him. If one thinks through the relationship between God and contingency, reason will also discover its contingency. Using modern approaches as examples, the authors of this work investigate the history of this unsolved problem. German description: Kontingenz irritiert die Vernunft. Versucht die Vernunft die Kontingenz zu reduzieren, gerat sie an ihre Grenzen. Gott hingegen ist Kontingenz weniger fremd, denn sie grundet in ihm, so wie er sich in Schopfung und Inkarnation auf sie eingelassen hat. Durchdenkt man das Verhaltnis von Gott und Kontingenz, entdeckt auch die Vernunft ihre Kontingenz. Diese dreigliedrige Konstellation beginnt mit der Schopfung, verdichtet sich im Kreuz und fuhrt in die Arbeit an der Neukonstellation von Kontingenz, Gott und Vernunft. An exemplarischen Positionen der Neuzeit gehen die Autoren dieser offenen Problemgeschichte nach, indem sie in kritischer Auseinandersetzung mit der Vor- und Nachgeschichte von Leibniz religionsphilosophische und theologische Perspektiven zur zeitgenossischen Neukonstellation erarbeiten.
