Having seen life from different angles, and the truth packaged in various forms, he goes on to discover his path. This book gives the reader an insightful glimse into his awakening because every reader has a Siddhartha in him who is trying to make sense of the world around and discover his own true path.

Nació en 1877 en Calw. Siguió profesiones tan dispares como la de religioso y la de mecánico, pero con la publicación de su primera novela, Peter Camenzind (1904) logró establecerse como escritor. Su obra literaria lo colocó entre los autores más importantes del siglo XX. Sus títulos más destacados son: Demian (1919), Siddhartha (1922), El lobo estepario (1927) y El juego de abalorios (1943). Entre muchas otras distinciones, recibió en 1946 el premio Nobel de Literatura. Murió en 1962, a los 85 años en Montagnola.
