Rachel Hawkins es una escritora estadounidense nacida en 1979 en Virginia y criada en Alabama. Es conocida por sus novelas de fantasía juvenil y thrillers contemporáneos. Su serie más destacada en el ámbito juvenil es Hex Hall, compuesta por Hex Hall: Condena (2010), Hex Hall: Desafío (2011) y Hex Hall: Embrujo (2012).
