Reseña del libro "A Morning Glimpse: That we Might Know him (en Inglés)"

Throughout the years I have written a “MorningGlimpse.” I wake early to my quiet time and prayer. For me, mornings have always been a perfect time topress into God. A perfect way to start my new day. Iwrite to myself, but I am you. We are all the same: samedesires, needs and wants. What I feel you are feeling. What is going on in my life may be different than yours, but it is the same. The Bible says there is nothing newunder the sun and that there is nothing that is not commonto man; we are all the same. We each have a naturaldesire to know our God, Jesus Christ. This is easily seen when you look at the world as a whole.Even before there were trains, planes and automobiles, there were four basic needs in men: eat, sleep, procreateand know our God. The first three are a given and arejust practical, but the last is completely esoteric. There isno practical or physical need to do this. So why is thatthere? It was placed there by God. Religion is man’s justificationwhy God should know us, but it has very littleto do with God. Our walk is a love affair between one2God and one man. The Bible is a “how-to” book to helpus know, love and serve our Great God. It is actuallyvery simple.I’ve been asked to compile these “Morning Glimpses”into a book to encourage and help us remember what isimportant; we are and the “we” starts with God. We aremade in His image and He delights in knowing us. Weare being wooed by a still quiet voice, but do we hearit? Do we respond? These glimpses have been food formy soul. Life is hard, that is a promise in the Bible. But,with God, life is also extraordinary, that too is a promisein the Bible. What do we choose to look at and what dowe choose to believe? Our choices change everything.Just as a very small rudder turns a great ship what webelieve and think about will change our lives, for goodor for bad. It is our choice. But our Great God alwaysmakes a way, but we must know Him. I hope theseglimpses draw you closer to Him and give you assurance. That they give you a glimpse of just how important youare to God and just how valuable you are to Him!Let these words feed your soul and remind you of allthat is good, your purpose here and your great call inthis life. There is indeed a wonderful plan. A plan thatinvolves both you and me, and we all have a role toplay. Once we have seen a glimpse of who God is, itwill change the cadence of our lives and create a life ofwonder, challenge, excitement and purpose. It did mine, and it will yours too. If you have not done so, ask God toreveal Himself to you. He will! We must be in His willand it is only there that we will find contentment. Readyour Bible and pray. Remember, prayer is as simple as3just talking to God. God loves each of us and desires anintimate relationship with us. He has called us, but dowe hear Him? We were designed to live in partnershipwith Him. There is a hole in each of us that can onlybe filled by God and without Him in our lives, we arenot complete. God is wooing each of us; we just need tolisten.1 Kings 11 “The Lord said, “Go out and stand on themountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord isabout to pass by.”Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountainsapart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but theLord was not in the wind. After the wind there was anearthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was notin the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. AndElijah heard it...”We just need to stop and listen to His still quiet voice, and then respond. Sheep respond to the shepherd becausethey recognize His voice, and we too can recognizeour Savior’s voice. Remember, Elijah heard it. We cantoo. Our faith is a love affair, “that we might know Him.” Wewere designed and created for that purpose, and therecan be no other.
