The witness is suddenly turned into a fugitive, pursued by both the forces of justice and mayhem.This fast-paced novel is laced with twists and turns as she meanders about the country accompanied by a stranger whom she is afraid to trust but upon whom she must depend, undercover forces within the organized crime family and complicit government agents complicate both the search and protection of the witness turned fugitive. The wry wit, combined with suspense and fascinating characters leads to a very satisfying experience.
