Practicing mindfulness is paying attention and help children to be aware of their responsibilities to secure a healthy and bright future.Younger and older children are ready and keen learners to be part of the crew to take charge and be involved. Children will feel honored by taking responsibilities in helping out. Children learn responsibility from their own immediate life experiences everyday. Children may relate to this responsibility as their own responsibility to maintain and keep their own space in their own home clean. Planet earth is their home that they share with many other inhabitants of earth. The story is awesomely whimsical and captivating that allows the message to be easily understood. Children at the present are already witnessing and also experiencing the effect of the devastating damage that is happening around them as the direct results of the harms done to the environment in nature. These horrifying events are causing destructiveness. From the unusual fires engulfing the forests and homes to the lack of water that is causing the draughts. Storms are shaking towns and villages all around the world. These catastrophic events are unusual and are placing the inhabitants of earth in the harms way. The consequences of our previous and present actions are the causes that are contributing to what is happening with all these overpowering and devastating catastrophes. Henok's presence was of significance in the story. Henok was a gift to planet earth from outer space. The inhabitants of far away space were looking down on the beautiful planet earth and noticing the harm that is taking place. They wanted to extend help in their own way to make sure the planet is being taking care of and not destructed. We the inhabitants of earth must make changes to our ways of thinking and looking into our own ways of life and choices. Our children are the future generations and will accede to the planet earth. Children have many challenges to come over. They need mentoring and guidance and this must be passed on from one generation to the next. Children are the way!Alexander was the way just like his mentor Henok! Children need examples to follow. Children are creative and will utilize their interests and energies to create significant solutions. Children will make a difference in this world. Teaching, guiding and facilitating the child is the key to a bright and healthy future for all. Children are innately aware of how we may need to take care of our planet. Helping children to learn the principles of solving issues positively by being mindful and motivate them for alternative ways for solving a problem will ensure a bright future for the planet earth.The objective of the story is to reflect on how and what children may be aware of to learn from. This picture book story is engaging. The story is entertaining, informative and educational with emphasis on being mindful. This story evokes the sense of curiosity in the child by wanting to know and draw lessons from.
