Moving over 200 miles a few days before Christmas with no heating or hot water, a single light bulb and a very disgruntled cat was not exactly what she planned. She struggles with trying to communicate with the workforce, draw up extension plans and argue with a duplicitous builder, but nothing - no nothing - will frustrate her optimism.Add to that a husband working miles away, builders lacking even DIY skills and very unhelpful neighbours. With snow trudged daily though the front door and the house falling down around her, was it any surprise that Jessica found solace at the 'Boot and Bottle'?
