Despite being one of the first books published in the fantasy genre, Lud-in-the-Mist has received surprisingly little attention. Hope Mirrlees's 1926 novel is an enchanting narrative intertwined with folklore and the magical realm of the fairy folk, mysterious intrigue, and rural superstitions. A delightful discovery for lovers of fantasy.
