Erica knew that because of Taryn's special needs, there would come a time when Maya's abilities would surpass that of her older sister. Maya was born with the responsibility already placed on her that she would always care for her sister in some capacity. That care has been happening since she was in pre-school and will continue the rest of her life. Even though this book is speaking to moms, it is also a mother's love letter to prepare her daughter for the responsibilities ahead, as best she can. It's Erica's way of equipping her and acknowledging her for being so mature and compassionate. It's her way of saying, "You got this, Boo." This book is your chance to experience that for yourself.
