However six major soil types are identified in India which is the Alluvial Soils, Black Soils, Red Soils, Desert Soils, Laterite Soils and Mountain Soils. Dissimilar physiography, climatic and geological feature is responsible for this heterogeneous soil distribution in India. This diversity of earth has influenced the nation and its culture in distinctive way. Author duo Dr Biplab Tripathy an academician and Subhechya Raha a research scholar together have composed three books and numerous research articles. Through this work the authors have tried highlight the regional array of soils in India.
