As the founder of the Sicherheitsdienst (SD), Heydrich orchestrated the suppression of resistance through arrests, deportations, and murders, including the notorious Kristallnacht attacks. Directly responsible for the Einsatzgruppen, he oversaw the mass shooting and gassing of over two million people, including 1.3 million Jews.The book also explores Heydrich's demise through Operation Anthropoid, a daring mission by Czech and Slovak soldiers trained by the British Special Operations Executive. Despite his death, Heydrich's malevolent impact endured as Nazi reprisals targeted innocent villages, leaving a haunting legacy that reverberates through history.
