Rochelle Davenport is a vivacious, fun loving young woman living in Charleston, South Carolina with an exciting career as a journalist. Her mother, Sarah, was abandoned at an orphanage as a baby and as a result she doted on Rochelle; their relationship was extremely close. Rochelle and her mother wore identical bell necklaces. When questioned about the bell necklace, Sarah always stated that someday it would be evident. Rochelle's entire concept of her mother and her own life are shattered upon her mother's untimely death. During the reading of Sarah's will, she discovers her mother lied about being an orphan. Rochelle learns she has a family in a small town in Pennsylvania and has inherited the family farm. She decides to go on a quest to investigate the surroundings of her mother's hidden past. Rochelle takes an extended trip to visit the farm and to meet the family she always wished she had being an only child. The first day on the farm she discovers the family name is Bell. But one secret leads to another secret and she is shocked to learn the many secrets of the bell. Rochelle decides to move to Pennsylvania to find answers to the questions of her mother's past. Rochelle encounters many challenges over the following year while unraveling these secrets.
