This book is written to be a basic guide for independent travel to Europe. It is not meant to provide an encyclopedic orientation, but rather to be a primer on travel. It delineates a basic core of practical lessons important to the independent traveler. This book is written by a retired pulmonary physician and his office manager. Topics include medical aspects of travel. This unusual approach to travel writing adds insight to the experience. A prepared traveler is a better traveler. Knowledge of medical issues related to travel benefits all readers. Having an awareness of these general medical issues should enhance every reader's journey.
