Gessford starts with his own journey of learning Aramaic and shares why the critically endangered language of Aramaic deserves to be saved. Through a pilot project of teaching Aramaic to an interfaith group in San Diego, California, Gessford demonstrates that teaching can be an effective way to preserve a language. Gessford reveals the mixed measurement data which supports his research. He concludes with a summary of his findings and recommendations for future researchers.
